This was my first show. I was 15. To see such an epic show like this for the first time really set the bar high. I fell in love with the dead when I was 12. Friend if the Devil and Ripple were the first two and Touch of Grey was the Icing for me when i discovered them. After receiving several Christmas and birthday Cd's I was fairly caught up with the music. Little did I know what the live experience would do / show / catapult me into. This was it! 15 and hooked! Besides the massive skyline background and seeing the Dead at the stadium where my football team played , the lot lassoed me and dropped me for a hog tie. from getting off a day from school to come down to the show a day before so we could walk from my bff's aunt's apartment . To the sights and smells, and sights again, to having some of the best seats I ever had for any concert let alone the Dead. To the McCormick Place parking lot after the show. I could not have asked for a better introduction to the rest of my life. Little did I know, that at the same venue it all started, it would all end. Happily, though, the fans didn't let it stop. And were still Deadicated to the way of life and to the Music we all hold dear in our harts. This is, in my opinion, one of the best later years shows the Grateful Dead played . Enjoy!
